Kat wanted to help Onyx write his story and she absolutely killed it. It was beautiful, haunting, heart breaking, dramatic, spooky, and oh so spicy.I loved following Onyx's adventure and getting to learn more about him and his heritage. Then we get to see more of his relationship with Wolf (honestly my favorite couple) and the one he wants to have with Blythe. And Blythe? Watching her figure out who she is and who she's meant to be is so much fun. You just know by the end of the series she's going to be a serious force to be reckoned with and one HBIC.I struggled writing this review because there are really no words, or not enough words to write out how I feel about this book (the series and the author). Book two of the Halloween Boys was everything we were promised and so much more. It was just as good if not better than the first and each book gets its hooks in you and never let's you go.One last thing, Judas (Devil. My husband. Love of my life.) 🥵 There are more small scenes with him in this book and Kat? You're killing me (and I'm enjoying every second of it). These relationships are pure and beautiful, they are so full of love. Together they are exquisite, but separately they are divine.Blythe is a character that you can relate to, she is a real woman with real curves. She wears her heart on her sleeve and even though she is afraid of the unknown she is brave enough to take the risk. Her heart is so pure even though she is Death.Onyx is so complex. He is two halves of a whole, both opposites. One dark as night and the other green as the Earth. He is intense and dangerous and loves Blythe with his whole soul. You feel it throughout the whole book.The amount of spice is insane! I thought it could not get any spicier than Ghost I was so deliciously wrong! I love the character development we get in Dragon. I love seeing more interactions between Dragon and Wolf. I love to see the possessiveness of Ghost and how he can give more in this book. I loved seeing why he was more hesitant in giving them more of Blythe. I can’t wait to get more into Wolf’s history and really look forward in to learning more about him. I also really can’t wait for Devil. I feel like we know next to nothing about him and the bits and pieces we get are not enough!! Another great read and I will be adding it to my physical collection. The group is heading towards the vampire kingdom to find Onyx’s father. Onyx though has other plans and wants alone time with Blythe because Ghost is being a bit too controlling.There are twists and turns at every corner in this book, and while I miss having Ghost and Wolf around like we had them in book 1, I think this time was needed for Onyx and Blythe.This book ends on more of a cliff hanger than book 1, so be prepared for that. Can’t wait for book 3!
