I CAN NOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SERIES! The delicious romantic chaos, gripping emotional angst, and energizing action! All paired with some of the most complicated and enthralling character journeys I've read from the authors to date. Jaymin and Tate have delivered yet another thrill ride that has me desperate for more- I can guarantee this series will be one of the best reads of 2023!The tension, the ANGST, the drama, all the secrets and longing- my goodness does this story have energy. This story is action-packed and gripping. Jaymin and Tate give us twists and suspense, and HOLY hotness they also give us steam…but most of all, they give us emotion. SO much emotion- past heartbreak, present devastation, passionate connections, anger and loss, and a whole lot of energizing uncertainty. While book 1 was an introduction into the psyche of our fantastic heroine, book 2 is chemistry immersive. We don’t quite know these heroes like we think we do, and we also realize we’ve only begun to scratch the surface of how their baggage (both before and after Billie) impacts their orientation and relationship to her. These characters have so much baggage and tension you can practically choke on it, and if that weren’t complicated enough, J and T hit our characters with a whole deluge of drama and complications, a whole NEW set of painful complications and tense tribulations that bring more nuance to their relationships.But it also cracks things wide open. The jolt all these characters need to start confronting their ISH. To help us understand them more, but most importantly, to further develop the unique connections and feelings each of them has towards Billie. A harem can not be without the individual relationships, and each of them is on a very different trajectory. But one that makes sense for each of them. But all are uniquely messy….but also uniquely catalytic. Facing what they face forces them to face themselves- each realizing they can’t QUITE be with Billie in the way they desire until they drop their protective, defensive, or detached visages. They have to decide if they want to stay trapped in their pasts, drawing in pain, or if they want to expose their wounds to try to heal together…and to be whole enough to love Billie how she needs.J and T beautifully give us meaningful moments between all of our characters. And i was NOT expected to cry in this one but someone better hold me because I sobbed. We’re left with more questions than answers and a DEVASTATING cliffy that has me desperate. It's sucks you in with action, characters, and plot and doesn't let go. I didn't see dirty shirts taking the turns it did which I just love. I love when a story is unpredictable but make sense I work so well. This book we went on a journey with Billiebeing with Angelo for the start.and getting to see inside the mafia family. And getting more insight into Billie past.The boys dealing with the aftermath of Billie "departure" and there bandmates which really allowed us to see gray shine in both his music role and his specialties with being formally in the mafia. And we kind of got to see the them as a group without her and needing her. And then when they come together didn't see that coming. There's some great scenes between Billeand and at this point I think Jace is my favorite not everyone's but I understand where he's coming from I can relate to him lol. I really like their storyline and their chemistry. And Rhett is Rehett 💜 I like to have theories and think about what's coming next and I will just say that I found the Angela story very interesting and had me questioning things. I really like how the story was brought together and I can't wait for the next one. It just has such memorable well done characters and such a great plot. It's got steam, spice, relationship/character chemistry, great dialogue, mystery, suspense, intrigue, emotions, of the feels, there are moments that Billiewas just going through the motions and I really felt that she was feeling. I seriously can't recommend this book and the series enough it's rapid release. So the next one comes out the first week of March and then the next one and early April. It is absolutely been great to follow along as the series comes out like this and get to sit with it and reread and think about what's coming next. I thought this cliffy was very manageable especially for less then a month away. Highly recommend. I am so nervous for book 3 at this point.I don't want to give things away but the beginning you know is going to be a tough one to get through because of how book 1 ended. I wanted to hug Rhett so much and slap some sense into Jace. I am still on the fence about Angelo but he has proven that he cares a lot of Billie and helped her when she really needed it (back as a kid and now). I was kinda shocked about something happening to one of the main side characters, but I get why. LOOOOOOVED seeing the real Grayson come out some more. Like his profession before this....like woah. Gave me Shadow Grove vibes in the best way!! The reunion between Billie and the group was definitely rocky and the twists we got involving Angelo were done so fabulously. I shouldn't be surprised with these 2 dynamic authors. They are my favorite cowriters ever. I am so glad they came up with this RH world, it has been a fun ride so far and cannot wait for books 3 and 4 in the next couple months ❤️If you loved book 1 you are gonna love book 2. This one is gonna pull on your heartstrings even more because the confrontations and how Billie has ground to gain back with Rhett and Grayson. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would.
