A new male / male hockey romance from 24-time USA Today bestseller Sarina Bowen! My name is Hudson Newgate, but my teammates call me New Guy.That was my nickname in Chicago, too. And Vancouver. That’s what happens when you keep getting traded. Brooklyn is my last chance, especially after my poor performance last season. But I can make this work. The new guy knows to keep his head down and shoot the puck. The new guy puts the game first. What he doesn’t do is hook up with the other new guy—a hot athletic trainer who lives in my building. Gavin needs this job with my team. He’s a single dad with responsibilities. We can’t be a couple. My arrogant agent–who’s also my father–will lose his mind if I’m dating a dude. And my team needs me to score goals, not whip up a media circus.Too bad Gavin and I are terrible at resisting each other…

I adore Sarina Bowen because her characters are grown-ups. Not perfect, not wise all the time, but, when they love, they love hard and even when they mess up, they own it and figure it out and someone always does the hard thing but the right thing in the end. It's magical and special and I'm here for it. This "new guy in town" hockey romance that takes part in her Brooklyn Bruisers world (but stands fully alone) is another goal scored, and I'm hoping for at least a hat trick of new MM romances from this talented author. Please read the sales copy for a plot summary. Here we actually have two new guys--Gavin, sports trainer, single dad, and widower who's new to Brooklyn and just got a job with the hockey team, and Hudson, a hockey player who's on his fifth trade in four years and losing hope of finding a team to call home. They meet before they realize they both work on the same team...and they're neighbors in their apartment building (a conceit, but done so cutely I didn't mind). Heated attraction leads to shock when they realize they'll see each other...a bit more than expected!Filled with Hudson's conflicts with his manager-father, keeping his bisexuality under wraps, and fear of being traded yet again, and Gavin's protectiveness over his daughter, his tension with his late husband's parents, and his lingering heartache for his late husband, the book could be bogged down in drama, but it's just not--it's an emotional and poignant thrill ride of irresistible attraction, forbidden and ill-advised relations, and longing that becomes hope. And hockey! Wonderful game time included. The mutual respect and joy the men find in each other outshines all their doubts and makes for a charming and warm-hearted romance with steamy times, tense times, and heartfelt confrontations that finally get us where we want to go all along. It was a joy to read and I've got a big smile on my face.Secondary characters add complications and feel authentic, though Gavin's wonderful sister kind of disappears toward the end. But with enough hockey to please fans and enough relationship to delight the heart, the story ticks along and delivers a wonderfully satisfying read.HEA, sports/hockey, hidden relationship, coming out, no cheating or emotional cheating. Highly recommended. For fans of Jax Calder, Kaje Harper, Lily Morton, and N.R. Walker, among others. The New Guy (Hockey Guys: a series of MM stand-alone novels) ePUB PDF Download gratuit I love Sarina Bowen's hockey romance books, and I was excited to read her new M/M romance. The New Guy is a wonderful read - a young single dad, a hot hockey player, and a steamy workplace romance.Hudson and Gavin are both well written characters, with complex backstories. There is a very interesting cast of supporting characters, including several from the Brooklyn Bruisers series (it's always a pleasure to see them included in another book). Hudson and Gavin also have family members who meddle in their lives for good or bad.Hudson is a legacy pro hockey player, trying to live up to his dad's expectations. Not only is his dad a retired hockey star, but he is also Hudson's agent. Talk about pressure. So far Hudson has been traded to new teams several times, always hoping for a perfect fit. He's the perennial new guy on every team.Gavin is young, widowed, and gay, with an adorable young step-daughter. He is starting a new job as an assistant trainer for the Brooklyn Bruisers. His parenting efforts are aided by his rock musician sister, who helps raise his daughter when she is in town.Hudson and Gavin meet in a bar and are immediately attracted to each other, but soon discover they are neighbors. With the added complication of working for the same team, they try to ignore their chemistry as they get to know one another and get settled in their new roles. Maybe just one time...?The New Guy is a captivating read as Hudson and Gavin work through how a possible relationship would impact each of their lives, and the changes it would require for each of them as they find their way together.I was able to listen to an advanced copy of the audiobook, and the narration by Teddy Hamilton and JF Harding really brought the story alive for me. I know the narration is good when I lose myself in the story while I listen, and I definitely lost myself in this audiobook.I loved Hudson and Gavin's story, and I highly recommend it. 4.5 Stars! PDF The New Guy (Hockey Guys: a series of MM stand-alone novels) read epub Finally, a MM romance has come to the world of Brooklyn Hockey, and it’s absolutely worth the wait! Hudson Newgate, perennially nicknamed “New Guy” after 4 trades in 5 years, is the newest addition to the Brooklyn Bruisers hockey team. Not only is he anxious about fitting in, but he’s also anxious about revealing his sexuality to his new teammates. For his part, Gavin Gillis is also a new guy of sorts; he's the new trainer for the Bruisers and a recently widowed single dad of 7-year-old Jordyn. He needs to make this new job work to keep his in-laws at bay. The last thing either of them needs is a meet cute at the Tavern on Hicks. Fate doesn’t agree. They play a game of ping pong and that’s all she wrote. Then they find out they work for the same team. Gavin and Hudson’s attempts to steer clear of each other at work are thwarted when Hudson’s hip bursitis brings them together. Jordyn’s fascination with the hockey player down the hall also doesn’t help. Alas, fate keeps throwing them together, and the attraction becomes too tough to resist. But always looming for each of them is fear of what they could lose. For Hudson, it’s a longer stay with his new team. For Gavin, it’s his daughter. Their story is one of two young men who are each at a crossroads, dealing with loss. It’s a particularly poignant story that tugs at the heart quite a bit. Despite their fears, they are two puzzle pieces coming together, discovering that they can create something entirely new. For Gavin and Hudson, something they never thought possible literally appears next door. Could there be the possibility of a spin-off series? (Only Sarina knows and I for one have my fingers crossed.) The audio version features fan favorite Teddy Hamilton and a newcomer to Sarina’s work, JF Harding. Teddy always breathes life into Sarina’s characters and JF Harding is a very welcome addition to the Brooklyn hockeyverse. ePUB The New Guy (Hockey Guys: a series of MM stand-alone novels) leggi kindle [PDF] Downloads The New Guy (Hockey Guys: a series of MM stand-alone novels)
