True love requires a little research and development in a funny, heart-racing romance by Sariah Wilson, the bestselling author of The Paid Bridesmaid. How can Anna Ellis, a geeky, brilliant, and hopelessly smitten cosmetic chemist possibly win over Craig Kimball, the man of her dreams―who also happens to be her boss? The answer is Craig’s empathetic (and handsome) CEO half brother, Marco. The makeup mogul knows Craig for the ridiculously competitive rival he is. Whatever Marco has, Craig wants. That can be Anna, if she’s game to play. All Anna and Marco have to do is pretend they’re falling in love and let the rumors begin. If the experiment in attraction works, a jealous Craig will swoop in and give Anna her happily ever after―if it weren’t for one hitch in the plan. There’s more to Marco than meets the eye. With every fake date, Anna’s feelings are starting to become dizzyingly real.Blame it on chemistry. It’s unpredictable, exciting, and occasionally combustible. If Anna and Marco are really falling in love, who are they to argue with science?

It Will Have You In Stitches – There Are 15 LOL Moments By My Count. This Is A Must-Read Romance For Sci-Fi Nerds, Chemistry Wizards, Cosmetic Fans, & Parrot Lovers.Anastasia Ellis, twenty-six, is a devout science geek. She enjoys reading scientific papers in her spare time, she has a love of rom-coms, and she adores sci-fi and fantasy. She cannot get enough of Lord of the Rings or Star Wars, although she has some rather strong opinions on the series so don’t get her started. Unfortunately, she isn’t happy with her life at the moment. She has worked as a cosmetic chemist in the R&D division at Minx Cosmetics since graduating from USC, doing what she loves, but her life seems stalled.Anna’s grandmother, an environmental chemist, has never approved of her career path. She considers cosmetics to be a frivolous field and a waste of Anna’s intelligence. She lectures Anna about the difficulties that women face in the field of chemistry, and Anna cannot disagree with her. Anna had been the only female chemist in her four years at Minx until her new bestie, Catalina Diaz, was hired six months ago. Anna is underpaid and underappreciated at Minx. Her boss, Jerry, has a habit of publicly berating her. Despite her stellar record and reliable results, he has never given Anna’s ideas serious consideration.Anna’s dream is to start her own cosmetics company someday. She is filled with ideas, but equipment is expensive and her home lab is limited. She saves her meager earnings, but she still has a way to go until she can do the kinds of experiments at home that she hopes to do. She is particularly interested in the future of neurocosmetics – the intersection of the nervous system and cosmetics – and the potential to combine moods and makeup in an exciting new way.She cannot afford to move out thanks to her love of expensive lab equipment, so she still lives at home with her grandparents. They took her in and raised her when her parents died in an accident when she was just twelve. Both her grandparents and her parents had beautiful love stories, finding instant love and marrying soon after. Anna believes in fairy tale endings. She wants her own happily ever after, but admittedly, relationships have not exactly been a priority for her. She has been too consumed with her education and her career, but it might be time to make some changes in her life.Anna has been in love with Craig Kimball for two years now. The dreamy VP of R&D at Minx came to her rescue in the parking lot two years ago when her car died, and she is convinced they are meant for one another. They have only spoken a few times – for no longer than ten minutes – but Anna believes that Craig is her white knight. Catalina has tried to talk her down, insisting that her online research and office gossip suggest Craig is not the man Anna believes him to be, but Anna won't’ hear it. Ever supportive, Catalina urges Anna to take the first step, to take action rather than continue to sit back and wait for something to happen. But just when Anna manages the courage to confess her feelings to Craig, he suddenly announces his engagement.Marco Kimball is the elusive CEO of Minx Cosmetics. It is just Anna’s luck that the handsome head of her company would cross paths with her at her lowest. When she drunkenly confesses her love for Craig and her heartbreak over his engagement, Marco presents her with a plan. A win-win. It turns out that Marco and Craig are half-brothers, and Marco doesn’t approve of Craig’s fiancĂ©e. He had been casually dating Leighton himself until two months ago when he discovered her gold-digging ways. Marco wants to protect his brother from financial loss and heartbreak, and if his plan works, Anna will have the chance to win Craig’s love. Since Craig is known to show interest in Marco’s girlfriends, all Anna needs to do to catch Craig’s eye is to fake date Marco.Anna knows Marco’s plan has almost no chance of success. Leighton is gorgeous, and Anna has no interest in fashion. She can barely remember to wash her clothes. Nevertheless, Marco persuades her to give it a try. She ignores Catalina’s warnings and the lessons of every rom-com they’ve seen with the hope of finally attaining her happy ending. As she gets to know Marco, however, she begins to question herself. But she and Marco both have secrets that could threaten their plan, and the Kimball family isn’t exactly warm and fuzzy. As Anna finally gets to know Craig, she has some difficult truths to face. She eventually earns her happy ending.Wow! Marco and Anna’s fake romance is a sweet read packed with nerdy goodness. It is a must-read romance for sci-fi nerds, with plenty of references to Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and D&D. Chemistry wizards and cosmetic fans will appreciate the many technical references. Bird lovers will enjoy Anna’s grandfather and his many parrots, which keep things light. Marco and Craig are both a bit of a mystery, although Anna thinks she knows Craig. Marco and Craig come from an entirely different world – one motivated more by money than loyalty. Anna is honest, kind, and well-meaning. She isn’t good at lying, so keeping up the ruse requires her to spend some real time with Marco. She begins to suspect that he has some secrets – including a nerdy past. There is an issue that merits mention. Anna and her bestie Catalina had noted that they could only find one picture of their CEO on the company website. Later, however, it is clear that the paparazzi has an interest in him, and he has been pictured with numerous models. It feels strange that Anna and Catalina hadn’t expanded their search to discover more about Marco, particularly since Catalina is known to do that.Marco and Anna’s nerdy romance will have you in stitches. There are fifteen laugh-out-loud moments by my count. Anna lives and breathes cosmetic chemistry. She comes home from work to conduct her own personal experiments, living much like a mad scientist. She is adorably clueless about love and relationships, so she relies on Catalina for advice. It isn’t surprising then that she would then put her future with Craig in Marco’s hands. The story is well-written. The plot is simple, but there are some secrets and truths that are slow to be revealed. The characters are delightful and kooky. They are nicely developed and three-dimensional. The story is told in first person in Anna’s POV. I rate this book 4.5 stars. The Chemistry of Love eBook PDF Online pdf online Let me tell you first and foremost I am 100000% the target audience for this book. I swear this book was written for me. I am above all else a nerd, especially when it comes to Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. To my absolute ecstatic surprise the wonderfully nerdtastic FMC Anna is 100% my people, the nerdiest of nerds and someone I’d be BFFS with in a heartbeat. I literally cannot recommend this enough to my fellow nerds who too will appreciate the FMC Anna who is a super smart chemist who also makes the very true 100% right and inarguable argument made for why Ben Solo deserved better. This FMC is an ode to all that is awesome. Are you a science geek who also might have had a Legolas full size cardboard cut out in your room? This book is for you. Do you love the fake dating trope with all the humor and whit possible? This book is for you. Do you love when a big hunky rich guy is also a hidden nerd cinnamon roll and makes you picture Henry Cavil being your plus one to DND night? This book is for you. Did you once yell in a guys face “TODAY IS A GREAT DAY FOR SOUP!”when he said hi to you for the first time after you basically stalked him at the deli he worked at? No wait that was just me, yup, I’m definitely Anna. I literally want to buy a copy for every single one of my friends and shove it in their face like I just gave them the precious just so we can discuss how well written and funny it is! This will definitely be a go to reread when I’m in a book slump, or having a tough time because it’s nothing but serotonin for me. Sariah Wilson you had me at “AND ROHAN WILL ANSWER!” Ummmm…Can we be friends?! Did I read this in one sitting and immediately buy all of her other books based off how much I loved this book? Absolutely, NO REGRETS! I read this with the audiobook, and it too was a smash hit for me. I loved that narrator EM Eldridge totally nailed the adorably quirky awkwardness that is Anna, and how she delivered her jokes in a tone that felt so fitting of her character. Her voices for the rest of the characters were unique to them, easily distinguishable and also felt very true to the characters. I especially loved her voice for Marco and the delivery of his humor and timing as well. It felt so fitting to how honest and sincere he comes across in the book. Her voices flowed so well together with the hilarious banter between Marco and Anna as they navigate their big fake dating plan to try to score Anna the eye of his broseph douche canoe brother Craig, who just stole Marco’s gold digging girlfriend. Marco might just have more reasons than revenge and competition behind this big plan, but there’s one thing for sure, there’s nobody quite like Anna! Watching these two fall for each other along the way of their plotting and planning seemingly unaware that they are smitten was so fun! Getting so much of them connecting through simply being themselves, the good the bad, and the Gundabad, was a straight up joy! Right off the bat their connection is based off of being entirely honest, and flawed in the most human relatable ways. I love that they bond over sharing what they care most about, and being so genuine in asking each other about themselves. It’s so freakin endearing! I dare you not to root for them right off the bat! Impossible! Marco is easy to fall for though because he’s not only funny, kind, witty and clearly deeply kind hearted, and he never tries to tell her to change herself. He is always reminding her she doesn’t have to pipe down about the things she loves. He wants to hear it all even if it’s about The Muppets, or her big bright, bold ideas for her inventions and starting her own business. Something that I can relate to so deeply as a girl who grew up being teased for the fact I own over 200 Star Trek books, I’m an Astronomer and it’s pretty much my entire personality. I constantly get grilled by jerks in fandoms who can’t fathom that women too are nerds, that we can be bosses in the workplace, and GASP might know more than them! I know that most women like me if not all can relate to being mansplained to by the world. This book feels like a love letter to all of us who have felt this way, and need a reminder that we have so much to offer! We deserve to be heard! Seriously I can’t recommend this book enough, even if you’re not a nerd, there’s something everyone can relate to and that’s the want to be seen, respected and loved for who we are. Pick this one up, it’s absolutely bound to be a best seller!
